Inspired by the history of this place of words, exchanges of anecdotes and rumors, the Companions decided to make in 1997 the unlikely place of the first festival of stories in the region while the blacksmith Bérubé still worked there. After its acquisition in 2000, the organization made several renovations to bring the building up to standard and to make it an atypical but professional level of cultural diffusion. The forge shop thus transformed, while preserving its patrimonial character and the spirit of the place, was able to acquire its titles of nobility as a theater dedicated to the arts of multiple speech. Her interest is such that the Forge à Bérubé shines in the world of francophone storytelling as an unstoppable place for storytellers eager to be recognized and present their latest creations before a caring public.

Equipped with sound and lighting consoles, the forge is available for rental. Allowing for multiple configurations with its fixed seating section, it will warm up your events either in a cozy cabaret with tables or in a theater with a dance area where you can make a fool of yourself by spoiling unexpectedly to the rhythms that you only hear! In addition to storytelling, the Forge hosts performances of music and songs, theatrical performances, film screenings, improv evenings and Slam.
