Arriving at the Napier House is like stepping back in time to the 1920s. Built in 1915 in the 'American Foursquare' style, the house has retained its original charm over the years, with its sash windows, pinched tin roof surrounded by moldings and two long, newly renovated verandas. Inside, wood floors and paneling, a red brick fireplace and period light fixtures add to the historic style.

We've furnished and decorated it in an eclectic style that we hope still respects its original character and comfort. The gardens have been planted in the English style, sometimes pastoral, sometimes more formal, but always with an abundance of color and blooms from May to November.

You'll find Napier House in the midst of lush gardens spanning approximately one acre.

Colorful and pastoral at the front of the house, they take on a more formal look at the rear, where there are two box gardens planted with lavender, hyssop, lily and other fragrant plants. Below, where tennis was once played, is the formal French-style kitchen garden and, on the other side of the perch fences, the undergrowth.

The gardens also have a certain botanical value, as they are planted with the personal collection of Philippe, the owner and nurseryman who loves rare and unusual plants.

You'll find clematis and honeysuckle covering the brick walls, old roses and perennials in many shapes and colors everywhere, and heirloom fruits and vegetables in the vegetable garden squares.

Come and enjoy with us the magical, enveloping beauty that nature creates for us every year!
