Elected Member of Parliament for Sherbrooke under the Liberal banner in the October 2019 election and re-elected in 2021, Élisabeth has always been a woman committed to the Sherbrooke community. Her involvement in various organizations has enabled her to acquire expertise and an excellent knowledge of the issues and challenges facing Sherbrooke. It's a city she knows well, having lived here since 1987 with her husband and their three boys.
With a bachelor's degree in law, a diploma in notarial law and a certificate in business administration, Élisabeth has been a notary in private practice for nearly 30 years. A partner in one of the region's leading firms, her practice focused on personal law, real estate and mediation. Élisabeth was also a lecturer at the Université de Sherbrooke.
As a notary, she always demonstrated unfailing rigor and integrity. Attentive to people's needs, she knows how to accompany, advise and inform them in order to achieve their objectives. Keen to meet expectations, she seeks practical, innovative solutions to ever-changing realities. These qualities serve her well in her role as a Member of Parliament.
Élisabeth chose to get involved in politics to serve her fellow citizens. The environment is at the heart of her concerns. She believes that every gesture counts. We need to take advantage of the momentum and continue to make people aware of the impact of their choices. She also wants to work for the middle class and help young families in Sherbrooke. Obviously, as a woman and mother, she intends to ensure a safe and egalitarian living environment for women. What's more, her knowledge of the business world gives her the tools she needs to support entrepreneurs and guide start-ups to take their place in the local economy.
Élisabeth heads to Ottawa every week with the firm intention of representing Sherbrooke residents with conviction in the House of Commons. She works hard to move issues forward and find solutions for a better future for the region.
